UMD - Model 850 Series
IoT UHF RFID Reader / Controller


The UMD Model 850 Series (M850) is an intelligent IoT UHF RFID Reader with the ability to communicate over USB-C (HID keyboard output, or Virtual COM port output), Ethernet, or Wi-Fi.

It is based on the Zebra RE40 OEM UHF RFID Reader module which comes in two or four port versions. Maximum RFID transmit power is +27dBm (0.5W) and UMD’s MP3090 IoT Controller module providing the intelligence and I/O functionality.

The M850 can be configured using a web browser via its internal Wi-Fi Hotspot, or via the connected Ethernet/ Wi-Fi LAN network.

Applications crafted by UMD can be readily downloaded into the controller. (Remote update via the cloud is coming soon)
